The City of Walnut Creek aims to help business owners find the necessary resources and information to succeed. Many local organizations and agencies support and assist small business owners and employees, including the resources listed below.
- The U.S. Small Business Association's San Francisco District Office offers resources for small businesses, including seminars, workshops, and small business training and counseling.
- The East Bay Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is proud to be a part of the greater NorCal SBDC network and works to support local entrepreneurs and small businesses with the tools and insights to start, grow, and pivot their businesses. Experienced advisors help business owners develop strategies to increase sales, create jobs and improve profitability. Services include no-cost advisory assistance and free webinars and trainings on a wide range of business topics. The Center is located at Cal State East Bay College of Business & Economics. - The Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa County provides talent acquisition assistance to employers in Contra Costa County. Services include customized recruitment events for companies, job postings and access to qualified job seekers, financial assistance and subsidies for on-the-job training, assistance with identifying tax credits for new hires, and labor market information. - SCORE East Bay is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow, and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. Supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and a network of 11,000+ volunteers, they deliver services such as mentoring, counseling, and workshops at no-cost or low-cost in multiple languages.
